The Greyboy Allstars Step into Summer
The Greyboy Allstars are pleased to announce two exciting summer dates! On July 22nd, the band will bring it back home for a show at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego for America’s Finest Beer Festival. This 3- day brew fest boasts 120 craft breweries and live music all day long. A few short weeks later, GBA will join everyone from Muse and Arcade Fire to Phish and The Original Meters in Golden Gate Park to close out the summer festival circuit with Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco from August 13th- 15th.

NOLA JAZZFEST 2011- Two-night run at Tipitina’s with The Greyboy Allstars & KDTU
The wait is over! We are proud to announce two very special evenings at the legendary Tipitina’s in New Orleans for Jazzfest 2011. Come join Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe for a Cinco De Mayo throwdown at 2am on May 5th for a special themed evening featuring many special guests.

GBA to Play Benefit Show in San Diego Tomorrow
Tomorrow The Greyboy Allstars play a benefit for Kelly Stillwell in their hometown of San Diego at the Belly Up. GBA bassist Chris Stillwell’s twin sister, Kelly, was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer and is now facing financial hardship. Proceeds from this performance will benefit Kelly, so please come out and show your support! Doors open and DJ SK spins at 8pm, GBA hits at 9pm. GBA and KDTU announce Colorado, Alaska and new Jazzfest dates!
The Greyboy Allstars have added a second Jazzfest play aboard the Riverboat Creole Queen on Saturday, May 1st. GBA will also be doing the late night set at Tipitina’s on Friday April 30th.
Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe will be be returning to Jazzfest for a special sunrise performance at Tipitina’s on Thursday April 29th. Tickets for all Jazzfest shows are available now from either the GBA Ticketing or KDTU Ticketing pages.
In other news, The Greyboy Allstars will take a break from recording their new album in March to do a run of shows at the end of the month. GBA will perform in Winter Park on Thursday the 25th and in Aspen at Gondola Plaza on Friday the 26th. The band then goes to Denver to play the Ogden Theatre on Saturday, March 27th. A limited amount of pre-sale tickets will be available tomorrow from GBA Ticketing. Tickets go on sale to the public this Saturday the 20th at 10am CST. The Allstars finish up the run in Jackson Hole, WY for a performance at the new Pink Garter Theatre on Sunday the 28th.
The Tiny Universe is back on the road this week touring the South and Midwest with our friends Galactic. The Greyboy Allstars tour the Northwest in early 2010
The Greyboy Allstars kick off 2010 with several dates throughout the Northwest. The band returns to the Showbox in Seattle on January 20, hits The Venue in Vancouver BC on January 21, The Crystal Ballroom in Portland on Friday January 22 and The Nightlight in Bellingham, WA on Saturday January 23. Orgone will be supporting The Allstars on all dates.
GBA plays The Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco on Saturday January 30th with special guests Orgone. The Allstars will finish up the run in Santa Cruz at Moe’s Alley on Sunday January 31.

The Greyboy Allstars return to Denver for New Year’s Eve
The Greyboy Allstars welcome the year 2010 with a return to the Ogden Theatre in Denver for their annual New Year’s extravaganza. Pre-sale tickets are available today from GBA Fan Club Ticketing at noon MST. Tickets will go onsale to the public through Ticketmaster on Saturday August 22 at 10am CST.
This will be one of only a handful of performances this fall due to the bands commitments to their solo endeavors: Guitarist Elgin Park just scored the new Judd Apatow film, Funny People, while keyboardist Robert Walter has recently finished recording with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah’s frontman Alex Ounsworth for his upcoming solo release. Drummer Aaron Redfield just wrapped up performing on the new record by our friends Cake and will be joining them on their August tour dates, while bassist Chris Stillwell will be joining saxophonist Karl Denson”s Tiny Universe on tour this fall in support of Karl’s new album, Brother’s Keeper, which will be released on September 15th. New 2009 Dates + Jazz Fest
Happy New Year from The Greyboy Allstars! The band just finished their NYE run with George Clinton and have added some new dates for February and Jazzfest. The Allstars will now kick off their February run in their hometown of San Diego at the Belly Up on the 6th before heading to Arizona on the 7th and 8th in Flagstaff and Tucson respectively.
The following weekend will have the band in Eugene at the McDonald Theatre on Friday February 13th and on Valentines Day for the first annual “Valentine’s Day Ball” at the Showbox in Seattle on the 14th with special guests Common Market. Tickets for both shows will go on sale Monday January 12 through GBA Fan Club Ticketing at noon MST. They finish up the weekend at the Crystal Ballroom with the Bill Kreutzmann band for the Portland Jazzfest on the 15th.
GBA will wrap up February in Colorado at the Aggie in Ft. Collins on the 19th, the Fox Theatre in Boulder on the 20th and a Mardi Gras Celebration with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band supporting at the Ogden in Denver on the 21st.

2009 Tour Dates
The Greyboy Allstars are pleased to announce new tour dates for 2009. The band will be hitting Arizona for the first time in many years with stops in Flagstaff at the Orpheum on February 7 and Tucson at the Rialto on the 8th. The following weekend see’s the Allstars finally return to Portland’s Crystal Ballroom for a night of sweat drenched groove on February 15. Last but not least, GBA will be coming back to Colorado with stops at the Aggie Theatre on February 19, The Fox Theatre on February 20, and the Ogden Theatre on February 21. The Dirty Dozen Brass Band is supporting GBA at the Ogden Theatre in Denver.
If you have not yet made your New Years plans and find yourself in San Francisco, The Greyboy Allstars will be joining George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic to welcome in the New Year at the Warfield in San Francisco. The package will also be doing a second date at the new Nokia Live in Los Angeles on January 2.

Where are the boys? Well, Karl Denson has been joining his old bandleader Lenny Kravitz on the road all over Europe, Asia, and South America for the last 6 months and will be continuing into 2009 as well as working on a new Tiny Universe record. Look for a few spot West Coast dates by KDTU at the end of the year. Elgin Park has been scoring a new untitled Will Farrell film and just produced a new record with Inara George and Van Dyke Parks. Elgin and his beautiful wife Heather are also expecting a new child at the end of the year. When he is not evacuating from hurricanes in his adopted hometown, Robert Walter has been keeping the torch lit in the states with his New Orleans trio of drummer Johnny Vidacovich and bassist James Singleton supporting his latest record “Cure All”. Chris Stillwell and Aaron Redfield have been filling in for the New Orleans cats on a few dates. Chris and Aaron have also joined Elgin on a new instrumental trio called Namism. Due to overwhelming demand, The Greyboy Allstars have added a late-night show on Thursday May 1 at 2am. Tickets are available at 5pm EST from GBA Ticketing and House of Blues. An Allstars Update
The Greyboy Allstars will be returning to the road in April taking on the East Coast after a very successful Northwest trip. Performing to sell out crowds, the band broke out a number of tunes that have never been performed live. The upcoming run has the band hitting spots missed on their previous tours, as well as returns to their favorite locales.
This will be the last tour from the band for awhile as everyone focuses on their other projects:
Karl Denson will be touring the globe with former bossman Lenny Kravitz for most of the year, and he is also planning on recording a new Tiny Universe record.
Robert Walter will be touring with his trio in support of his most recent release, “Cure All”, available now from Palmetto Records, and will also be handling keyboard duties for Susan Tedeschi on her upcoming album and tour.
Elgin Park aka (Michael Andrews) will continue to produce records, including an upcoming release with Van Dyke Parks in an orchestral setting, as well as working on a new film (or two or three).
Chris Stillwell will continue to sell the most rare and in-demand records on E-bay while Aaron Redfield continues as the super LA session musician.
The Allstars are also planning a return to the studio in the fall to work on the follow-up to 2007′s “What Happened To Television?”. We are running a number of contests and giveaways and will be releasing new and old tracks through our Myspace and web pages over the next few months so stay in touch!

An Anniversary: Zero Effect
This week marks the 10th anniversary of the film, Zero Effect. The Greyboy Allstars contributed several original compositions to the soundtrack, and writer J. Ransom, of Chronological Snobbery has devoted a chapter of the anniversary coverage to the movie's music. In the interview, Elgin Park and Chris Stillwell discuss the preparation leading into the project and explain the creative process.
USA Today also recognized Zero Effect's 10th year and mentions GBA in the brief look back at the film and its following.

The Greyboy Allstars will kick off their winter '08 tour tonight in Minneapolis. A complete list of dates and details is available in the Tour section and on the myspace page. In case you haven't heard, the Allstars have added a date in Memphis, TN on Jan. 23rd at Newby's and are honored to be playin' Soulsville, USA. Tickets are only $15 and are going fast, so get 'em quick.
Remember, this tour includes a trip down to Texas, and it's been nearly a decade since The Allstars have played Texas. Don't miss your chance to see one of these shows! For a chance to win tickets to the Austin show at La Zona Rosa, visit the Funky Batz website and register before Jan. 24th.
For everyone who's been praising the newest addition to the Allstars or asking, who is this guy?! We'd like to officially introduce Mr. Aaron Redfield, The Greyboy Allstars' drummer as of December. Aaron, also from San Diego, has known the fellas for quite some time and has played with the guys on and off for the past 15+ years. The response has been astounding. If you haven't yet seen Aaron kill the kit, you need to.

New Year’s Run & 2008 Tour Dates
The Greyboy Allstars finish up their west coast run on Fri. Dec. 21 in their hometown of San Diego with a special performance at the Belly Up. The band then heads east for start of their New Year's run with shows in Philly, NYC and DC. Rahzel, beatboxing king of the legendary Roots crew will be joining The Greyboy Allstars and Soulive at Nokia Theatre in NYC. The boys finish up in high style at the Ogden Theater in Denver on New Year's Eve, this is a show not to be missed!
New merch designs will be available on the road, but if you can't make it out to the shows to snag a shirt, don't fret. All merch will be available here at greyboyallstars.com in the next week or so, so check back often.
And for everyone who has been chiming in with "When are ya'll comin' down south?" The Allstars have listened and are on their way! The Greyboy Allstars Return To The Lone-Star State
The Greyboy Allstars will welcome the new year by returning to Texas for the first time in almost a decade.
